Our History

Founder David Summers is licensed by the State of Alaska Big Game Commercial Services Board and the United States Coast Guard, is a certified Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician and a United States Army Veteran.  Bringing together a lifetime of passion for the outdoors, years of practical use lessons, and extensive product knowledge; Alaska Knifeworks, with it's cadre of expert staff, have operated in downtown Juneau's historic waterfront area for over 24 years.
